New to Pilates?

The Pilates Method is simple, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to do or to learn. Everyone is capable of learning this brilliant exercise system that can last a lifetime, it just takes time and commitment.

The First Session

Meg recommends you start by booking a 55 minute Pilates private session. Your first session will address injuries, goals, identify patterns within your body, and begin to teach the basic fundamentals of Pilates. 

Meg understands Pilates is pricy, so coming to the mat group classes and building your Pilates fundamentals is also a great option. 


What Do I Wear to Pilates?

Like many exercise programs, you want to wear comfortable clothes that you can move in easily, such as leggings, yoga pants, tank tops, t-shirts, or shorts. As pilates is focused on alignment and precision of movement, avoid wearing baggy clothes like sweats that hide your body’s position and movement. Pilates is traditionally done barefoot, however if your feet have a tendency to get cold easily, be sure to wear socks with grips on the bottom. (Meg does not sell socks so please bring your own).
